To All Americans,

This is an open letter from the members of American Legion Thoman-Boothe Post 338 in Overland, Missouri.

We would like all Americans to know about Veterans organizations such as American Legion Thoman-Boothe Post 338 and what we/they accomplish in support of our military men and women in a time of peace and in a time of war. Each Veterans organization has its own various goals but the resolving overall goal of all of these Veterans organizations is to support our men and women in uniform and our veterans after their active duty time is over.

Listed below are many of the activities and organizations that we at Thoman-Boothe Post 338 support.

  • Donations to purchase 70 special TVs for St. Louis Spinal Cord Unit
  • Donation to support purchase of a special van for St. Louis Veterans
  • Donations of good used clothing for homeless veterans
  • Donations to the Veteran's shoe fund
  • Donations to various St. Louis Area Missouri Veterans homes in support of their activities and needs
  • Staffing of USO at St. Louis Lambert Airport
  • Perform Color Guard activities and Honor Guard Ceremonies
  • A Service Office who assists Veterans with various associated needs
  • Awarding of scholarships
  • Sponsor of two baseball teams
  • Sponsor of a Boy Scout troop
  • Supporting local food pantries
  • Thoman-Boothe Unit 338 Auxiliary has a list of activities they support
  • Thoman-Boothe Sons of the American Legion (SAL) has a list of activities they support
  • Wednesday Night Bingo

What you have just read is a synopsis of the activities here at Thoman-Boothe Post 338 and we hope this has been informative as to what we and other Veterans organizations are doing by stretching out a helping hand to those Active Duty Men and Women, Veterans, and others in a time of need.
